Proof of Identity
Photo identification is required to be presented upon bicycle rental and/or tour program registration (without exception). Examples of accepted forms of IDs are: Driver’s License and Passport. This will be kept and stored securely (or copied) for the duration of the hire and will be issued back to the client upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition.
Damage Deposit
A deposit is required when renting a bicycle and/or any equipment. This will be taken in the form of an open pre-authorised debit/credit card voucher, which will be destroyed upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition.
The person signing the Hire Agreement Form will be held financially liable for any loss or damage to the equipment hired.
Security and Safety
As the client, you understand that you are responsible for all equipment relating to this agreement. This means that you, as the client must be responsible to lock the bike to a fixed object whenever unattended using the lock provided.
Helmets are available for every hire, and are strongly recommended for everyone to use. Children under 12 years old must wear a helmet.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
As the client, you understand that any cycling activity involves a certain element of risk. You are advised that any person using APL equipment does so entirely at their own risk. APL does not accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage to property beyond its legal obligation.
Cycling Manner
As the hirer you agree to cycle sensibly, with respect for others and the natural habitat. You are expected to follow the Cayman Islands road code.
Anyone cycling in a discourteous or unsafe manner while in possession of APL equipment will have the equipment repossessed without refund of hire charges.
Late Returns
Pro-rated billing will apply to late bicycle returns.
